Words in Motion 2013 - Feature Poem of the Day

The Canadian Shield

As the rapid waters swish across
The red majestic rocks, the sun glimmers,
Shimmers, and makes the rapid waters shine.

The minty sharp scent of the exotic
Pine trees welcome you with its mystical looks.

The beautiful flowers of the Canadian
Shield dance with the wind while speaking
The words of wisdom

The beautiful, gloomy, spicy, green of the
Thick lines of grass get crushed by
The hard hitting winds

The glaciers, the glaciers hit the rocks
Under the cold wintery ice with its cold
Heart that will never melt
