City Centre Area Redevelopment Plan (CC-ARP)

Proposal to unify MacDonald Island, the Lower Townsite, and the community of Waterways

In response to community interest in developing a vibrant City Centre, the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo is proposing the CC-ARP to unify MacDonald Island, the Lower Townsite, and the community of Waterways. Building on the ideas advanced by the Lower Townsite Area Redevelopment Plan (2009), the main objective of the CC-ARP is to set out policies to guide sustainable growth, as well as define implementation framework that will stimulate activities in our City Centre.
