If there is one constant in the nonprofit sector, it is change. At a time when nonprofit stakeholders are looking for ways to develop and maintain effective and sustainable nonprofit organizations, the challenge to understand and keep ahead of our changing environment becomes ever more difficult. To be sustainable, nonprofit organizations need to be aware of the current trends, research, and collaborative approaches that are being taken to support organizations as they continue to serve their communities.
Join Geoff Braun, Director, Policy and Research and Mike Grogan, Vice President, Programs and Operations, from the Calgary Chamber of Voluntary Organizations for a thought provoking and interactive lunch presentation on the facts, fictions and future of the nonprofit sector in Alberta. Drawing from findings from CCVO’s capacity building, policy and research activities, Geoff and Mike will provide an opportunity for participants to learn more about the major trends impacting the sector and engage in discussion regarding how they impact nonprofit organizations in Wood Buffalo.
The Calgary Chamber of Voluntary Organizations gives voice to the critical issues affecting the nonprofit sector, addressing and influencing issues ranging from public policy and funding practices, to regulatory changes and human resources. CCVO’s research and other initiatives are building a base of knowledge about Alberta’s nonprofit sector that is used by individual organizations, funders and government to make more informed decisions today and for the future.
Cheers,
Nonprofit Sector Link Wood Buffalo
