Open Arts Wood Buffalo

Open Arts Wood Buffalo is focused on helping youth develop skills, knowledge and Creativity through the arts.  By removing barriers, youth are free to experiment with and learn about different art forms.
Open Arts supports youth ages 12-18 who are interested in visual arts, music, drama and dance.  A deserving applicant may apply for the sponsorship and the Justin Slade Youth Foundation will pay on their behalf for training to further their interest in one of the fine arts.
The funding is open to all youth living in the Region and is not dependent upon their families' financial status.
Open Arts potentially provides $100-$300 funding per approved applicant to pay for expenses such as enrolment in classes, supplies, lessons, admission to museums and/or theatrical  performance, and travel for artistic purposes.

Applications for Open Arts Wood Buffalo are available on line at www.jsyf.ca or at the Haxton Centre located in Borealis Park.
