The 2012 Regional Aboriginal Recognition Awards (RARA) celebration takes place on
Saturday, March 3, 2012 at the Quality Hotel in Fort McMurray.

The Regional Aboriginal Recognition Awards were initiated in the Fall of 1988. A group of organizations identified the need to develop an awareness that would help build on the positive contributions that Aboriginal people (Metis, First Nation, Inuit) are making in everyday life. It gives us the opportunity to acknowledge individuals that have made positive contributions to the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo.
RARA recognizes individuals within the Aboriginal communities, including:
· Fort Chipewyan
· Anzac
· Janvier
· Fort MacKay
· Conklin
· Fort McMurray
· Gregoire Lake
