Fort McMurray Public Library hosts local author Julie Rowe

Author Julie Rowe will provide advice and tips on writing the story you've always wanted to write, but weren't sure how to start or finish. Julie will also talk about the state of publishing today, including self-publishing options and resources. Handouts will be provided and she will hold a prize draw for a unique book cover purse. The book talk is free to attend and starts at 2:30 on the second floor of the library on April 28.

Julie Rowe has been a Fort McMurray resident for 36 years and has two books out ICEBOUND and NORTH OF HEARTBREAK; both available through the library’s e-book collection Overdrive. Her writing has also appeared in several magazines such as Today's Parent, Reader's Digest (Canada), and Canadian Living. She currently facilitates communication workshops at Keyano College. You can learn more about Julie and her books at www.julieroweauthor.com and follow her on Twitter @julieroweauthor .
