Heritage Interpreter at the Legislative Assembly Office in Edmonton.
The Legislative Assembly Office supports the Speaker and Members of the Legislative Assembly – providing nonpartisan procedural, administrative and educational services.

As an ambassador for the Alberta Legislature you will use your dynamic interpretation and presentation skills to deliver tours and inquiry-based educational programming focused on the history, parliamentary process and political practices of the Alberta Legislature. To engage our visitors in an exceptional experience, you will project a professional and nonpartisan attitude in interactions with clients along with a strong commitment to client service.
Completion of or enrolment in postsecondary education is required. Knowledge of educational programming, cultural and/or historical interpretive techniques and an interest in history and the political process are assets for this position. Extensive training and resources will be provided. Proficiency in French or other languages is an asset.
Starting rate of pay for Heritage Interpreters is $18.08 per hour with an increase to $19.93 per hour upon completion of training plus 11.2% in lieu of holiday and statutory entitlements.
This position requires the flexibility to work day, evening, weekend and statutory holiday shifts as hours of work may vary. Heritage Interpreters must have full-time availability up to 36.25 hours per week.
