JAMMIN' FOR JAPAN

The Social Justice Committee at Father Mercredi is hosting JAMMIN' FOR JAPAN, a Relief Fundraiser for Japan on May 5th at 7pm. The event will feature students and members of the community performing their talents to spread a message of hope. All members of the community are invited to attend. Admission is $10 and there will also be a concession with drinks and baked goods. All proceeds will be donated towards Relief efforts. The event will feature aspects of Japanese culture which 3 of our Japanese exchange students have helped the Social Justice Committee incorporate including, handmade origami, Japanese Calligraphy, candy and sweets sent directly from Japan and wishes and prayers for the people of Japan written on Japanese flags.

Last year the Social Justice Committee organized a similar event to provide relief for Haiti "Hope for Haiti". This event was a huge success and raised thousands of dollars for Haiti Relief. We hope this event will have similar success and be a wonderful evening for Students, Father Mercredi Staff and members of the community to come together and spread a little hope.

Please forward this invite to all your friends, family and co-workers to help in our efforts to host a truly successful community relief effort.
