Fort McMurray Film Maker's Association

The Fort McMurray Film Maker's Association is a flourishing new group within the Wood Buffalo region. This group was founded by five creative individuals who are passionate about the arts. After hosting their first General Interest Meeting in June, the group is busy building our Membership Directory.

Currently, the group is working on the 2013 interPLAY Film Festival:

The 2013 interPLAY Film Festival is returning for it’s 3rd year of showcasing some of the best in independent filmmaking from Wood Buffalo and around the world!

The Fort McMurray Filmmakers Association and Events Wood Buffalo are now taking submissions for the 2013 iFF, including registration for the 48hr Film Challenge!

Do you have an independent film that you would like to screen at a film festival? Do you own a camera and have been itching to try your hand at directing? The interPLAY Festival celebrates the art of cinema by showcasing the talent of independent professionals and first time film makers by catering to each and every skill level.

Submitted Films and Registered Teams will be competing for numerous awards and cash prizes; with $2000.00 available to be won in several Film Festival categories and $1500.00 up for grabs in the 48hr Film Challenge!
