The winner of over 25 Gemini Awards and the star of one of CBC television's most popular weekly programs, RIck Mercer will deliver a keynote called "A Nation Worth Ranting About".

Few people know Canada like Rick Mercer knows Canada. Unashamedly proud, fiercely skeptical, and endlessly entertaining, Mercer knows the people, the culture, the passions, and the heartaches. He knows Canada is a country worth laughing about, cheering about, and occasionally getting angry about - usually around the time of a federal election. The evening begins with a wine tasting at 6 pm presented by the Fort McMurray Opimian Society, and exclusive silent auction. You'll also enjoy music from incredible emerging Alberta artists. A post-performance party caps off the evening with delightful desserts, specialty coffees and exotic liqueurs. The entire evening will be catered by the Sawridge Inn and Conference Centre.
