Workshop Opportunity :: Grant Writing 101 : AFA and Canada Council

Professional artists and arts organizations of Edmonton area are invited to a workshop on GRANT-WRITING 101!

Improve your grant-writing skills with representatives of the Canada Council & the Alberta Foundation for the Arts

Thursday, October 20th from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Alberta Foundation for the Arts Capital Arts Building (board room) 10708 – 105th avenue N.W. Edmonton, AB

Are you planning to apply for a grant? Do you want more hints and tips on grants in general? Join this free workshop co-hosted by representatives of the national and provincial funding agencies. Through an engaging presentation, we will discuss the funding opportunities for professional artists at the provincial and national levels. Participants will learn more about how to complete an application, which support material to provide, and how the projects are assessed.

The workshop will be hosted by:
Barbara Mah, Arts Development Consultant (Alberta Foundation for the Arts)
William Lau, Program Officer in Dance (Canada Council for the Arts)
Marion Vitrac, Program Officer for the ACDI (Canada Council for the Arts)

Started in 2007, the ACDI is a special funding program for professional artists and arts organizations of Alberta. It is a partnership between the Canada Council for the Arts and the Alberta Foundation for the Arts (AFA), in collaboration with Calgary Arts Development (CADA) and the Edmonton Arts Council (EAC). 2011 will be the last edition of this time-limited program.
