Charity Exhibit, Sale and AuctionMacDonald Island Community Art Gallery and the Wood Buffalo Artists Forum is organizing an annual charity exhibit, sale and auction to benefit the local United Way campaign.
Participating artists have the opportunity to donate a portion of their work for a good cause and to cover their costs (Half the proceeds from the sale of each piece of art will go to the United Way and the other half will be presented to the artist.)
Chosen artwork will be displayed at the MacDonald Island Community Art Gallery from Dec 1, 2011 to January 18, 2012.
The Exhibit Opening will be held at the Gallery on December 1, 2011 from 7 – 9pm.
Please submit a digital photo of your piece, along with your name, contact information, title of the piece, the size of the piece(including frame), the medium used, price and whether you would like to donate 100% or 50% of the proceeds by November 21, 2011, to anamaria.mendez@macdonaldisland.ca.
Finished framed art can be dropped off at the MacDonald Island Community Art Gallery on the following dates:
Thursday, November 24, 2011 from 6:30pm to 9:30pm
Friday, November 25, 2011 from 10:00am to 1:00pm
(Please note that all art that is not sold will be returned to the artist.)
MacDonald Island Community Art Gallery reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to select the pieces of art tendered for display, silent auction or live auction.
