Community Arts in InterPLAY

For this year’s InterPLAY, the organizers would like to have a large community arts component in order to showcase the talented artist of our Region.
A Cultural Coordinator from the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo will facilitate this initiatives to begin with but with the intention to hand this back to the community; it will be up to members of the arts and cultural community to manage and organize this initiative.

If you would like to be involved with any of the following initiatives, or if you have ideas for other initatives, please contact me as soon as possible:
* Display of local art in the Peter Pond Mall
* An arts /cultural demonstration tent

  2. Hi Ron,

I am happy to hear you are doing well on your tests - keep up the good work!

We look forward to having you back in Open Studio.

    See you soon.

  3. Community Arts in InterPLAY Update:

Unfortunately I have not received enough support from community members to continue work on the Art/Cultural area for this years InterPLAY.

To date there are not enough interested volunteers to cover the minimum requirements, or to complete the necessary planning/organizing. So we have cancelled the Community Arts Component for this year’s event. There will still be roving performers, the amazing art race, and other arts/cultural components that we have seen in previous years, it is only this new initiative that is being cancelled.

Thank you to those who expressed an interested in this opportunity, I am saddened that this community initiative will not be able to take place.
