Open Arts supports youth ages 12-18 who are interested in visual arts, music, drama and dance. A deserving applicant may apply for the sponsorship and the Justin Slade Youth Foundation will pay on their behalf for training to further their interest in one of the fine arts.
The funding is open to all youth living in the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo and is not dependent upon their families’ financial status. Open Arts potentially provides between $100 – $300 funding per approved applicant to pay for expenses such as enrollment in classes, supplies, lessons, admission to museums and/or theatrical performance, and travel for artistic purposes.
Applications can be downloaded by clicking the link below and at the Dugout (located in the Haxton Building at Borealis Park). Application may be dropped off at the Dugout or they can be e-mailed to information@jsyf.ca at any time.
