What is the Games Legacy Grant?
As a result of hosting the 1985 Alberta Summer Games, the 1992 Alberta Winter Games, and the 2003 Alberta Senior Games, a legacy was created with the surplus funds and placed in the Games Legacy Grant. This fund is designed to encourage the development and growth of amateur cultural and sport activities for youth and adults within a priority framework. Interest earned from the Games Legacy Fund is allocated to successful applicants semi-annually (mid March and Mid September) by the Community Services Advisory Committee.
