AECON brings the Met Opera to Fort McMurray with Anna Netrebko starring as the ill-fated queen driven insane by her unfaithful king in this premiere production by David McVicar based on the final tragic days of Anne Boleyn. “The lynchpin of the story,” McVicar says, “is Anne’s inability to provide Henry with the male heir that he craves. And of course, to be a wife of Henry VIII is to risk as much as you gain.”
