Volunteers for School Visits Program

Spring School Visit Program runs from Monday to Friday by appointments between 9:30AM and 2:30PM during March and April. This art program is for school kids Kindergarten to Grade 6. If you are interested in helping out, please contact Lucie.Bause@ONErec.ca

Artist Interested in Instructing Art Workshops

Do you want to share your passion for art with others? Do you have an idea for a visual art project that can be completed in a 4 hour workshop that you would like to teach and share with other adults interested in art? If so, please contact Lucie.Bause@ONErec.ca

Volunteers Needed to Help with Mi Dance Academy Production

The Mi Dance Academy will be presenting their Season Production of the "Snow Queen" on Tuesday, December 9th.

They are looking for volunteers to help with during the evening of the final production (Dec. 9th from 4:30 to 7 pm) as well as during the dress rehearsal (Dec. 8th from 4:30 pm to 8: 30 pm). 

They are looking for people to help with the following positions:

Recital Roles:

1. Back Stage Child Care (15 to 20 positions to fill) - as per child care standards
2. Quick Change (1 to 2 positions to fill)
3. Back Stage Runners (2 to 4 positions to fill)
4. Stage Right/Left "Door" (2 positions to fill)
5.Stage Right/Left "Wing" (2 positions to fill)
6. Check In Table (10 positions to fill - during intermission only)
7. Prop Shifting (3 positions to fill)

Volunteer Opportunities for Teenagers at FMPL!

Are you a teen aged 13 to 18 and looking for a volunteer opportunity?

The Fort McMurray Public Library is now accepting applicants for the TAB (Teen Advisory Board)! 

TAB gives teens a change to suggest what materials should be added to the YA (Young Adult) collection as well as what programs and services the library should offer to teens. At TAB teens will be able to discuss current teen issues and current events. It is a great way to gain volunteer hours while meeting fellow teens and enjoying free food!

TAB is open only to teens (aged 13 to 18) who are in Fort McMurray Public or Catholic junior or high schools, and must be able to attend monthly meetings on the second Wednesday of every month (starting September 10).

Applications will be accepted until September 5, 2014.
