Fort McMurray Tourism's Featured Artist for June - August 2009
Fort McMurray Tourism in conjunction with the Fort McMurray Artist's Guild is hosting an art walk.
This is a chance to showcase not only the artistic talent in the community but also highlight the variety. Wool spinners, painters, stone carvers, doll makers and even those who have taken on stained glass will be featured.
About 10 artist will set up shop on Fort McMurray Tourism's beautiful gazebo. Visitors and local residents will have the chance to meet and greet the local artists, see them at work and even purchase hand-crafted items.
Art related crafts and sidewalk chalk will also be available for inspired kids as well.
So take a walk on the art side and see what Fort McMurray has to offer!
Where: The Fort McMurray Tourism Office - 400 Sakitawaw Trail (off Highway 63 in Gregoire)

The Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo Summer Programs presents Battle of the Bands this Friday from 8 till 11 pm at Borealis Park's Bob Lamb Bandstand.
There will be six local bands showcased for 20 minutes each.
Come out and support our local talent.
